STAGE 3
Exploring long exposures

Lazy Susan
I used a glass lazy susan plate which can be spun around at various speeds

Lights covered in latex
After some trial and error I discovered that battery-powered lights with various coloured balloons stretched across gave a good effect

Lighting
I wanted an even lighting effect and with the camera positioned directly over the plate there was just room for a manually held lighting source
Critical Links

By varying the shutter speed and the speed at which the lazy susan was spun the light trails produced different patterns

Shutter speed: 4 secs

Shutter speed: 2 secs

Shutter speed: 1/100 sec
